Dr. Hyunju Chung, Lab Director

Hyunju Chung is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at LSU. Her research interests are on the areas of phonological acquisition, speech acoustics, and speech sound disorders. Her research especially focuses on examining speech produced by children with and without speech sound disorders and characterizing cross-linguistic differences in the speech of children and adults. During her free time, she loves spending time with her son and exploring new places in the city!​

Alexandra LiljebergUndergraduate Research Assistant

Alexandra is an undergraduate student at Louisiana State University majoring in Communication Disorders and minoring in Psychology. She is interested in child speech patterns. After graduating in May 2025, Alexandra plans on attending graduate school to become a speech pathologist!​ Fun fact: Alexandra enjoys spending time with family and traveling.

Angelique Ronquillo, Undergraduate Research Assistant

Angelique is an undergraduate student at Louisiana State University majoring in Communication disorder and minoring in Sociology. Her research interest include dialectal differences and speech sound disorders. After graduating in May of 2025, Angelique plans on attending graduate school to become a speech-language pathologist! Fun Fact: Angelique loves to run and go to the beach!

Victoria Talamo, Undergraduate Research Assistant

Victoria Talamo is an undergraduate student at Louisiana State University majoring in Communication Disorders and Psychology. She is interested in learning more about speech disorders in children and NICU feeding disorders. After graduating in Spring 2026, she plans to attended graduate school at LSU, either in Baton Rouge or New Orleans. Her hope is to become a speech pathologist in a hospital setting with NICU specialization. A fun fact about Victoria: she has never broken a bone!

Adrienne Bodine is an undergraduate student at Louisiana State University majoring in Communication Disorders. Her research interests include Pediatric Speech Sound Disorders and Speech Acoustics.  After graduating in Spring of 2026, Adrienne plans to attend graduate school to become a speech pathologist!  Fun fact:  Adrienne loves traveling and hiking out west with her husband and two sons.
